Where are you?

Our Bach in located in a small eco village, roughly a 15 minute drive from Lake Brunner. It is located between the Alexander Range and the slopes of Mount Te Kinga.
A fantastic lake for trout fishing, the area around Lake Poerua is also home to a range of native bird life..

How far away are you from the supermarket?

The closest place for supplies is On The Spot in Moana, a 19min drive away, which is a small grocery store. For a full supermarket the closest is either in Greymouth which is a 50min drive or Hokitika which is a 55min drive so you are best to stock up on your way to visit us.

What time is check in and check out time?

Check in is from 3pm on your day of arrival and check out is 10am on your day of departure. If you would like an earlier check in please get in touch so we can see if we can accomodate you.

What is the minimum stay and maximum number of guests?

The minimum stay in high season is two nights and one night during winter. We can sleep up to four.

Can I bring my pet?

As much as we love our furry friends we generally can’t accomodate them due to the native bird life surrounding us and the property not being fenced. In some circumstances a well mannered, house trained dog may be welcome upon request only. A pet fee will apply so please contact us about bringing your dog for your stay and we can have a chat.

Do you have wi-fi?

We have 4g mobile phone coverage and fibre optic internet to the door which is really fast. We also have a smart TV with streaming apps (Netflix etc) so you can log into your own accounts and a bluetooth speaker for you to connect your devices to.

What amenities are available?

Amenities provided for our guests are: bed linen, bathroom linen, shampoo, conditioner, soap, bodywash, hairdryer, tea and coffee supplies, laundry liquid, games, books, and beach towels for the spa/lake.

Is there room to park my boat?

There is plenty of parking on the property for your cars and boat but please be aware that Lake Poerua is only suitable for smaller fishing boats as there is a lot of submerged trees to be wary of.
Lake Brunner is a 15 minute drive away for bigger boats.

Is the property suitable for children?

Unfortunately our home is not suitable for young guests once mobile under the age of 10. This is due to the property not being fenced and the proximity to the lake as well as the other potential hazards for children, such as no railing on the deck, the stream, electric fence and the highway nearby. We do have a porta cot available for babies.

Can I smoke or vape inside?

No, the interior of The Bach is smoke and vape free. We reserve the right to charge a fine if you do not follow this rule.
